Sponsoring a child will help in the struggle of breaking the cycle of poverty in the lives of the needy children and the entire community for the glory of God.
Your sponsorship will help to provide:
- Educational opportunities (school fees, clothing and supplies, tutoring, literacy programs, etc.)
- Treatment to maintain the child's health and to reimburse social workers when necessary
- Development of self-confidence and social skills
- Key life skills and vocation programs
- Opportunities for the child to participate in physical activities and sporting programs
- Ongoing Christian training and education
TMSC sponsorship program opens up a new world for you, such as:
- Learning about different cultures and places as you communicate with and/or visit your child in person
- Discovering the political, cultural and economical realities your sponsored child faces
- Finding joy in helping someone in great need
Because there are so many impoverished children, the selection process of who can be assisted can be a tough process. Here is a list of the criteria that we use to determine who can be supported by Tumaini. The child must be:
- Orphaned, abandoned, or exploited, OR,
- Living with a widowed parent or other relative, OR,
- From a destitute family or is a child of a single parent, OR,
- From a family with physical or mental handicaps
Additionally, we are working in a community where some do not believe in the education of girls, so we have always tried to help girls who are undergoing such problems from their parents and/or families.
